Tattoo Aftercare
After your tattoo has been finished, leave the bandage on for at least two hours to prevent infection from air-borne bacteria (don't go taking the bandage off just to show your friends).
Once the bandage can be removed, gently wash the area with luke warm water and a liquid anti-bacterial soap to remove any ointment or blood left on the skin. When drying the area, genlty pat the skin with a clean towel or paper towel until it is completely dry (don't rub it), then apply a suitable ointment.
Don't go swimming or take a bath for at last two weeks after getting your tattoo as soaking it in water can damage it. Showering is fine provided you don't soak it.
After a few days, some minor scabbing or peeling may occur. Don't go picking at it or scratching it as you can damage the tattoo. A tattoo is considered a minor wound and needs to heal by itself, do your best to leave it alone.
To ensure your tattoo remains vibrant, protect it from the sun otherwise the ultraviolet rays will cause it to fade.
